Through our partnership with WPS, you can efficiently and easily reconcile and pay all travel agent commissions.  Travel agents receive one consolidated payment in their country’s currency.  Both hotels and travel agents receive detailed online reporting, reducing or eliminating research time that occurs during the manual billing process.  Your property will be designated as using an electronic commission settlement program which makes travel agents more willing to book your property.

Too often hotels are overlooked for reservations due to uncertainty on the side of the travel agent on whether or not they will indeed be paid for the booking.  The wire fee itself can cost more than the commission that is actually due to the travel agent.  For this reason travel agents are more inclined to book rooms with hotels that use commission processing services.

Operational procedure

1. Resnet sends to WPS an electronic file with hotel booking information on a monthly basis.
2. The Hotel validates the booking information uploaded in WPS webportal. Hotels will also
   be able to add other commissionable bookings received through other channels by sending
   WPS their PMS file or by inputting the information directly in WPS portal.
3. WPS issues a Proforma to the hotel/hotel group, with the total amount to be transferred
   (commissions to be paid + WPS fee). WPS bank account will be also detailed in the proforma.
4. Hotel sends funds to WPS.
5. WPS processes the payments to travel agents the week following the receipt of the funds
   and provides the hotel with an Invoice and a Payment Report.
